As part of the Peter Ablinger Residency at the University
of Chicago (1/19-27), a•pe•ri•od•ic presents an
evening-length concert of 3 ORTE/ 3Places (2020)
Chicago, written specifically for this event.
Having worked with Ablinger over the last few months to
find three spaces and measure the acoustics, send him
recordings of these spaces, this pieces is written
specifically for the evening's performance, and we will
lead the audience from room to room for each part of the
Music's OVER Listening with Peter Ablinger
a•pe•ri•od•ic performs a portrait concert of the renowned
sound artist/composer Annea Lockwood in her 80th
year, as we welcome her to Chicago. I will perform her
solo prepared piano piece Ear- Walking Woman, and will
join the ensemble for a bayou-borne. Nate Wooley will
also be featured on this concert performing Becoming
a•pe•ri•od•ic (44): Annea Lockwood Portrait
for Iktus (2015)
