Learn new ways of hearing the world around you by studying and practicing different listening methods, creating and exploring instruments out of objects, making sounds together with a focused intention, considering different types of musical notation, and engaging with and performing as a group in class a host of musical scores by living international composers. Though taught on zoom, this course will focus on experimental music created and realized without the use of technology and is offered to those interested in learning about sound and listening from a new perspective. Students should have at least 3-5 years of musical study in performance and/or composition.
