a•pe•ri•od•ic's 50th concert to date features commissioned pieces by two young experimental music composers and works by two well-established composers. Newly commissioned works by Belgian composer MAYA VERLAAK and Iowa-based CHRISTINE BURKE will be premiered alongside pieces by PAMELA Z and the late PAULINE OLIVEROS, a composer who inspired the formation of a•pe•ri•od•ic.

Both Verlaak and Burke will be in residence for the concert, and will share insights into their new works in a public discussion.
